Spring Break Punta Cana

December 21, 2009

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic is a growing spring break destination.  More and more students are tired of the normal Cancun and Acapulco destinations and are therefore branching out towards some new destinations.

In terms of flights…they are getting to be more affordable.  Most major airports offer flights to the Dominican Republic.

The best part about Punta Cana is the resorts and their hospitality.  Most of the resorts are “mega resorts” offering 5-8 restaurants and 4-6 bars on the property and most are all-inclusive (all you can eat and drink including alcohol).  Most of the resorts even have their own night club/disco right on the property.  Several online Student Spring Break companies are now offering an assortment of resorts that allow students to relax and have fun in the sun.

One company (Studentcity.com) is now even offering a full party package that you can purchase to enjoy other night clubs and night events.

As a whole the night life in Punta Cana is still developing, but with Studentcity.com’s party package you can gain access to several clubs with open bar, and a couple of evening all you can drink booze cruises.  Studentcity.com appears to be the only company with an established party package in Punta Cana.

If you have been to Cancun, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, and Panama City Beach, Florida, PUNTA CANA IS FOR YOU!

Punta Cana is also a great choice for first time spring break travellers.  The area is VERY safe and a great mix of chill and parties.
